Relay for Life plans exciting night
November 10th, 2009 4:13 PM

Want to get away? Come Cruising with us! You can drag down the road with the teams of Celebration’s Relay for Life. Stop at tropical isles, encounter pirate ships and see trains, planes and automobiles. We have every kind of cruising imaginable! We are CRUISING FOR A CURE beginning on Friday,

May 15 through Saturday, May 16 at Lakeside Park.

Entertainment? We’ve got that too! Gina Marie Incandela will be singing the National Anthem (if you haven’t heard this 6 year old perform, you really have to!) She even has a new CD! Bre Morgan will be here to entertain us! Robbie Carrico (American Idol) will also be here. We will have bands and gymnasts and dancers as well as our DJ’s, Joe Magic and Babe Plant. A cruise ship should be so lucky!

You can play games and eat great food. You can stroll along the lake. Most importantly, you can help us in our fight against cancer. Take some time to be with us that night, to buy some of our wares, play our games and walk a lap – it’s good for you!

If you are a survivor, please come down and be honored that night, we have some very special activities planned for you, including a great, free dinner (and you even get a t-shirt). You can let us know you’re coming by calling Betsy Spencer, our Survivor Co-Chair at the Foundation at 407-566-1234.

Community Christmas Tree Lighting and Ornament Decorating Party
November 5th, 2009 2:23 PM
Tree Lighting
December 1; 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Celebration Community Center
The Celebration History Center and Celebration Town Hall invite you to join us for a free ornament decorating party! Bring the family and decorate ornaments to help decorate the community’s beautiful 12’ Community Christmas tree. All supplies will be provided; but you are encouraged to bring a family photo or your favorite ribbons to embellish your ornament.

If you are unable to attend, the History Center, in conjunction with Town Hall, is asking residents to donate ornaments that are meaningful and personal to the tree. We hope that over the years our collection will continue to grow so that the tree is filled with ornaments from many Celebration families. For more information contact Parks and Recreation at 407-566-1200 or parks.rec@celebration.fl.us.
