The new addition to the recycling stream will include what is known as "Cheap Board". This new stream will include all cardboard that is comprised of the following items but not necessarily limited to them only:

  1. Cereal boxes
  2. Drink cartons
  3. Milk cartons
  4. Juice cartons
  5. Pizza boxes (Non grease contaminated)

Even though these are some of the better known items, there are plenty of others that fall under this type of cardboard. Many food products are packaged in "cheap board" we just have to be diligent in identifying them.

Before these items can be recycled they need to be plastic free. This means that any plastic that is used to hold or keep closed any sealed food or products inside these cardboard containers must be discarded and not mixed in with the recycling stream. If the recycling center deems that we are not following this important guideline, then they will stop accepting the stream all together at the end of the initial 8 week trial. If you have any questions about recycling please contact Celebration Sanitation.
