Based at the Kissimmee-Gateway airport just 15 minutes East of Celebration is EAA Chapter 1496 a group of
airplane people who are enthusiastic about all forms of flying and sharing the joys of aviation with others.
Our members include pilots and non-pilots with interests ranging from flying to building experimental
homebuilt kit aircraft to gliders to ultralights to radio-controlled planes.

EAA Chapter 1496 is affiliated with the http://www.eaa.org Experimental Aircraft Association an
international organization of individuals with a wide range of aviation interests and backgrounds.

Chapter meetings are the 3rd Saturday of every month at 10:00am at East "T"s Aviation, 2501 W. Patrick Street, Hangar 3-E.
Tarmac Time is a social hour featuring a "guest" airplane (homebuilt,restoration, or other special interest plane), hangar flying and
camaraderie. Weather permitting, Tarmac Time starts at 9:00am on meeting days on the East Ts ramp.

Quicks and Celebration Community Church are jointly sponsoring six clinics this spring and summer located at the 851 Celebration Avenue field. Strap on your cleats and step up your game on this Sunday with Quicks! Kids 17 and under are invited to this free series of clinics. Water and Gatorade are provided. All participants will be asked to have a parent/guardian sign a medical release form - please arrive by 1:45pm to get signed in.

Special Guest for the April 25th Clinic: Kickers - work with a former Florida State Seminole Kicker at the April 25 clinic on your kicking skills!

Registration for Celebration Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading is also available at these clinics.

Great American Pie Festival returns to Celebration
Chocolate, key lime, custard, apple, cherry and more will tempt you April 24 and 25 when the Great American Pie Festival returns to the streets of Celebration.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 24 from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Omni at Champion’s Gate and at Lakeside Park and on Sunday, April 25 from noon – 5:00 p.m. at Lakeside Park. General admission to the festival is free. Tickets to the pie buffet, which showcases the award-winning pies from the commercial division of the 2009 National Pie Championships are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors (over 65) and children ages 6 to 12.

The Jewel Box is looking for a part time employee that can work Saturday, Sunday and some nights. Jewelry Experience is desirable but will train if right candidate.

The candidate must be intelligent, honest and a self motivitated employee, who is capable of working on their own. This position can lead to a full time 35 hour week, if desired in the future.

Flashlight Egg Hunt (Ages 8-12)*
Thursday, April 1; 6:30–8:30 p.m.
Spring Park (note change due to heavy rains at Lakeside)
Easter is coming, so paint those eggs, search for bunnies and … grab a flashlight? Parks and Rec is putting a twist for on the traditional Easter egg hunt for kid’s ages 8 to 12 this year! They will be searching for eggs filled with candy and prizes, with a flashlight! Crafts, entertainment and photos with Mr. Easter Bunny will begin at 6:30 p.m. so make sure you get there early! The hunt will start promptly at 8pm, so have your flashlight ready!! Participants should bring their own flashlight and bag or basket to put their eggs in. Hot Dog, Chips and a drink will be available for purchase from the CHS National Honor Society’s Relay for Life Team with all proceeds going toward their team fundraising goal.
