Osceola Student Places Fifth in Florida Math Mania


Several Osceola schools participated in an online math event called Florida Math Mania. The event was sponsored by Voyager Expanded Learning and took place September 16 and 17. Students logged in to VmathLive (www.vmathlive.com), and competed against students from across Florida to answer the most math questions correctly.

Noah Perez, a student at Celebration School K-8, finished in the top 10 of all Florida students during the Math Mania competition. Perez answered 27,385 math questions correctly to place fifth, and will receive an iPod Nano. There were a total of 27,946 participating students and 426 participating schools.
